The thickening agent for this recipe is the potato. When the potato starts to cook, the starch breaks down and gradually mixes with the milk. The combination of ham and corn gives this soup a nice taste, while the milk and cheese provides the rich flavor. During dinner, this dish is best to eat with some saltine crackers. Is this the right diet for you? Before you even venture into doing it just because your friend went through the process or your sister recommended it to you, it is better to know more about this diet first. That way, you can identify if this will also be beneficial for you.</p><p>In a nutshell, the scarsdale diet is a low-fat and low-calorie diet program that is developed by Dr. Herman Tarnower. This diet is accompanied by a book that was first published in 1978. The book contains the essential details about the program.</p><p>This diet is based on a seven-day diet program which can be repeated for another week. Then, after the two-week diet, there will be a couple of weeks to rest before starting over again, if desired. The meal plan for this diet is structured because the food which can be eaten in every meal is specified. However, the good thing is that there is no limitation in portion so you can eat until you are satisfied so long as you are not overstuffed.</p><h4>Does the scarsdale diet work?</h4><p>Two weeks may seem like such a short time to shed off those extra pounds but the truth is that, for over 20 years, this diet has made people become slimmer.</p><div

The specific foods included in the diet does not contain high amount of fat. Hence, the tendency is that your body will use up the stored fat. With increased metabolism and efficient fat burning, two weeks is more than enough to see significant weight loss.</p><p>One concern with scarsdale diet is that this may lead to vitamin deficiency if the program is followed for more than 2 weeks. That is why, there has to be a rest in between cycles so that the body has time to replenish its nutrients. Besides, the body will also reach a plateau if the diet program is followed for more than 2 weeks straight. This means that your system will adjust to the limited amount of food that you eat. Because of that, weight loss might not be as efficient anymore.</p><p>This is not a long-term diet program because of the rigidity of the menu plan. However, it is effective in preventing obesity, enabling you to avoid a lot of health complications.</p><p>Here is a sample of the food that you can eat while on scarsdale diet.</p><p><strong>Breakfast</strong>—This remains the same everyday. You have to consume ½ grapefruit or if this is unavailable, substitute this with other fruits that are in season. You can also have a slice of protein bread without spread. For drink, have a cup of tea or coffee without sugar, cream, milk or honey.</p><p><strong>Lunch</strong>—Indulge on fruit salad until you are satisfied. Coffee, tea, diet soda, or water can go with the salad too.</p><p><strong>Dinner</strong>—Feast on broiled, lean hamburger. Add tomatoes, 4 olives, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts, celery and lettuce. You can also drink diet soda, water, coffee or tea.</p><p>With this diet, you do not have to starve yourself just to lose weight. Just be a little choosier when it comes to the types of food that you will munch on.</p><p><a

These were called as such because the servers slide them down on the counter towards the customers. The original sliders are square in shape and have holes to distribute heat. This cooks the slider without the need to flip the patty.</p><p>This is best eaten with some crispy <a

It does not really pose any serious threat to the baby nor does it lead to harmful delivery, unless the case is severe. However, deliberate action has to be done to be able to control the blood sugar level.</p><p>Proper gestational diabetes diet will do a lot of benefits. When a woman is pregnant, it is important to have optimum health to ensure that she and the baby would be fine. Problem is, since pregnant women are in a sensitive situation, they could not just take any type of medication since this may cause side effects, not just on her but the fetus too.</p><p>So long as the GDM is not yet a severe case, gestational diabetes diet can easily resolve it. The primary aspect that has to be dealt with is the level of insulin in the body. The fiber will make you feel full without stuffing too much food in your body. This prevents fluctuation of blood sugar levels. Aside from that, when you have high amount of fiber in your diet, this prevents toxins to get transported through your blood stream.</p><p>Drinks with high amount of sugar are not recommended too. This will make your blood sugar level go haywire. Instead of opting for soda, artificial juices or coffee, drink lots of water instead. For example, you may add chopped salami or bacon bits, along with some shredded cheddar or parmesan cheeses. Crumbled Feta cheese and some grape tomatoes are also nice to have.</p><p>Olive oil is always the safest choice. In most cases, eating iron rich foods can already alleviate this health problem.</p><h4>The Problem With Anemia</h4><p>Iron is the key in transporting enough amount of oxygen for tissues within the body. It binds with the molecular oxygen in the lungs and transports this to all other cells. Without enough supply of iron for the body to use up, it would be too difficult to transport oxygen around the body. This results to iron-deficiency anemia.</p><p>How serious is this type of anemia? Among the common symptoms of this is the insatiable feeling of being tired and weak because the cells do not have enough oxygen. Those symptoms are usually accompanied by paleness of hands and eyelids too because the hemoglobin in the blood is not oxygenated so it does not have the rich red color.</p><h4>The Importance of Iron From Food</h4><p>To be able to avoid this type of anemia, it is important to eat sufficient amount of iron rich foods. These are important since losing iron could occur during typical daily activities like urination, defecation, sweating and menstruation for women. Ideally, an average adult has to consume at least 18 mg of iron daily. This will increase though if iron deficiency anemia has to be resolved or for special cases like bleeding during pregnancy.</p><div

Foods which can from animals have heme iron. This type is easily absorbed by the body. On the other hand, vegetables have non-heme iron. These can still be used up by the body but it is not easily absorbed.</p><p>The highest level of iron can be obtained from foods like pinto and kidney beans, liver of animals that are organically raised, rice bran, lentils, organic dried peaches, prune juice, black strap molasses and raw beet greens. These iron rich foods have more than 5 mg or iron in every serving.</p><p>Average amount of iron can be gained from apricots, dates, lean cut of meat, spinach, chilli and lima beans. These iron rich foods are packed with about 3 to 5 mg of iron per serving.</p><p>The list of foods that have impressive amount of iron does not end there yet. You can also indulge in seafood like clams, oyster, mussels and shrimp. Pumpkin seeds, baked potato with skin, sardines and liver from chicken, pork or beef would do great too.</p><p>There are available meds and supplements which could provide iron for your body too. These can be effective. However, it is still best to consume iron that is in its rawest form. The iron which you can get from organic and natural food has impressive effects on your body because this is not processed or altered in any way.</p><p><a

Let it stand for 15 to 30 minutes.</li><li>Grill each side of the pork in medium heat for about 6 to 8 minutes or until fully cooked in the outside. Makes sure not to over grill so that it won’t get dry.</li><li>Arrange in a serving plate with some Mango Salsa on the side.</li><li>Serve. Share and enjoy!</li></ol></div><p

This also cleanses your digestive tract so that you can eliminate toxins that could trigger health problems, particularly colon cancer.</p><p>Fruits and vegetables have always been known to have high amount of fiber. These are actually excellent sources because they are natural and unprocessed. However, it has been observed that the amount of fiber that can be obtained from these is lower compared to other foods. This does not mean that you have to exclude them in your high fiber diet. You simply need to eat more than just fruits and vegetables.</p><p>To effectively increase fiber intake, you have to eat food like whole wheat bread, quinoa, whole wheat pasta, brown rice and bran cereal. But – what about white chili?</p><p>I guess you aren’t that familiar with White Chicken Chili, are you? It might be popular in some places, but not as famous as its red counterpart. My first reaction when I saw this dish was nothing. C’mon, light colored food is not that appetizing and I was expecting the other type chili. But I ate my words right after I tried this White Chicken Chili Recipe. It is flavorful after all, even if it does not look like it. In fact, I liked it a lot.</p><p>The nice thing about this dish is how all the flavors collaborated to present a single likeable taste. For example, the combination of slow cooked chicken, beans, and green chili produced a single delicious flavor. This plays well with the sour cream and shredded cheese.
