How to Make Quiche

- 2 sheets of shortcut pastry
- 1 tbsp of cooking oil (olive oil is best)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1 cup feta, Swiss or cheddar cheese, grated
- 3 medium eggs
- 1 tps whole wheat flour
- ½ cup low-fat or skim milk
- ½ cup cream
Lightly grease a flan pan and line it with sheets of pastry. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until pastry is golden. Remove from oven and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan and fry onions and bacon for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, drain the oil on paper towels and add ingredients to pastry. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Mix eggs, flour, milk, cream and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl and pour the mixture into the pastry. Bake at 180 degrees for half an hour or until quiche is set.
