Ham and Spinach Omelet Recipe

Ham and Spinach Omelet

This recipe is made possible by Flora S. of Petaluma, California.

She writes: Hello there PP, I’m an avid reader and I always try your recipes. Hindi na kita tatawaging kuya dahil baka mas matanda pa ako sayo. I was inspired to send this recipe after reading one of the shared recipes sent by someone from Germany.

Deviled Egg with Salmon Recipe

Deviled Eggs or Dressed Eggs is an egg appetizer dish that uses boiled chicken eggs as the main ingredient. Originally, this dish is composed of spicy ingredients which became the reason why this dish was named as such.

By far, this is probably the easiest recipe that we featured. If you have boiled eggs available, it would not take more than 5 minutes to prepare this dish. Though it may sound too simple, the taste of this dish is something that is out-of -the-ordinary.

Crab Meat Omelette

Crabmeat Omelette is a type of beaten egg preparation with crab meat. This is lightly fried using butter or oil. In the Philippines, this type of dish is referred to as “torta” and several different ingredients can be added with the egg. The more traditional method of preparation is adding the crabmeat (or any ingredient that takes a short time to cook) with the eggs while whisking. The eggs and crabmeat will then be poured in the pan and be cooked at the same time.

There are many ways to cook an omelette and several ingredients can be mixed and matched. All we need is a little imagination and a good understanding on how each ingredient affects the taste of the entire dish. It’s always good to experiment.
