If you are a fan of light dishes then you might like Shrimps with Quail Eggs and Green Peas. This light dish is basically a vegetable and seafood dish combined. Depending on your preference, this can either be served as a main dish or as a side dish.
Just like our other recipes, the ingredients for this dish can vary. Some like this with young corn and vegetable broth while others add a little milk to make the sauce richer. As for me, I like it this way – simple yet delish.
Finally, the 10 lbs of potatoes were consumed and we now have the 4th recipe derived out of it. I did not imagine that a $2 bag of potatoes would go such a long way. We were able to make the homemade potato chips, crispy French fries, potato and leek soup, and here we are with our mashed potatoes.
Everyone knows what mashed potatoes are. I think that a formal description is not necessary – but did you know that Mashed Potato is also a dance popularized during 1962 to the mid 60’s? I was not born yet during that time but I heard that the moves are pretty cool.
This mashed potato recipe resembles the ones that you find in restaurants and top food joints. The ingredients are common, the procedure is simple, and the taste is awesome. Try it yourself – oh, and make sure you top it with KFC Style gravy for a double awesome experience.

This next potato recipe is number 2 on the list of the potato recipes that I plan to do with the 10 lb of Idaho potatoes that I got a few days ago.
I like French fries but I prefer them crunchy. I tried making homemade fries from scratch before but it doesn’t give me the crunchiness that I am looking for. There are also other recipes that make use of cornstarch to help make the fries crispy – but I’m all good with the natural potato starch in the potatoes that I’ll be frying.
Good thing that someone shared to me her secret on how to make crispy French fries a few years back and I’ve been following that style ever since. The technique is called “double frying”; sliced potatoes need to be fried until the texture becomes a little crispy then re-fried until it becomes crispier.

I went to the grocery this afternoon and was able purchase a 10 lb bag of Idaho potatoes which was on sale for a very cheap price. I thought of making different dishes and snacks out of it. Here is the first on my list.
I enjoy having potato chips while slouching in the couch watching TV. It goes well on my favorite cream cheese and spinach dip. Whenever we consumed all the potato chips that we bought from the store, I try to make some from scratch. This is how I do it.
