How to Make Chai Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 black or oolong tea bags
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 pieces cinnamon bark
  • ½ teaspoon of cardamom seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • 125 ml honey
  • 1 ½ cup milk

Instructions

  • Wrap cinnamon, cardamom and ginger in cheese cloth with a string so you can pull it in and out.
  • In a pot, bring water to a low boil and place the spice cheese cloth inside. Let spices simmer in water for 15 minutes and pull out it out.
  • Remove the pot from heat and add tea leaves. Allow leaves to sit in water for 2 minutes before pulling them out. Strain the water and stir in milk and honey. Serve and enjoy.
