Ingredients

  • 500 grams CDO Holiday Ham sliced (1-inch thick)
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 ½ cups cooking oil

Tonkatsu Sauce ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons banana ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan.
  • Dredge a slice of CDO Holiday Ham in flour, then dip it in beaten egg. Make sure that all the sides are completely coated before dredging the ham into the breadcrumbs. Note: you should press the breadcrumbs gently so that it holds better.
  • Deep-fry your ham katsu until the bottom side turns golden brown. Flip it over and do the same step. Remove from the pan and let it cool down.
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce by combining all the tonkatsu sauce ingredients. Mix well.
  • Arrange the ham katsu with garnish on a serving plate. Serve with homemade tonkatsu sauce. Share and enjoy!
