Japanese Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef thinly sliced
  • 1 Knorr beef cube
  • 2 potatoes diced
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 4 tablespoons curry powder
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 teaspoons honey
  • 2 yellow onions chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic sliced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ cup coffee
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season beef with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a cooking pot. Add the butter and let it melt.
  • Put the beef slices and stir-fry until it turns light brown in color.
  • Add onion and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add the carrot and cook it for 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  • Pour the water into the cooking pot. Let it boil.
  • Add the Knorr Beef Cube, Curry Powder, Ketchup. Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Cover and Simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the potato and continue to simmer for 12 minutes.
  • Combine cornstarch with 3 tablespoons of water. Stir and pour into the pot. Stir.
  • Add cheese and coffee.
  • Season with salt and ground black pepper as needed.
