Easy Seared Scallops

  • 1 lb. sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


  • Sprinkle salt and pepper on the scallops. Gently rub the seasoning and let it stay for 5 minutes.
  • Melt the butter in a pan and then add the olive oil.
  • When the butter and oil mixture becomes hot, sear each side of the scallops until both sides are golden to dark brown.
  • Serve as an appetizer.
