- Pan drippings from roast turkey
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Scrape the drippings from the roasting pan where the turkey was roasted, and then pour in a cooking pot.
Heat the cooking pot and then pour-in the chicken stock. Bring to a boil, stir, and then turn the heat off.
Melt the butter in a separate saucepan.
Add salt and pepper and then gradually put the flour in when the butter starts to bubble. Do this step while slowly stirring the butter. Continue stirring until the mixture turns light brown.
Pour-in the chicken broth and pan dripping mixture. Stir continuously until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
