Cheesy Garlic Butter Mussels

Tender mussels tossed in buttery garlic and Maggi Savor, then blanketed with melty mozzarella and sharp cheddar. Quick, cheesy, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb mussels shell removed
  • 1 head garlic minced
  • 1 small onion minced
  • 2 teaspoons Maggi Savor (Hot Chili)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a pan, then add the cooking oil.

  • Sauté the garlic until light brown and fragrant.

  • Add the onion and cook until softened.

  • Add the mussels and sauté for 3 minutes.

  • Pour in the cooking wine, then add Maggi Savor. Continue cooking until the sauce reduces by half.

  • Season with ground black pepper.

  • Add the mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Let them melt into the sauce.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked mussels to reduce cook time even further.
