Soup It Up With The Sacred Heart Diet

The sacred heart diet is a 7-day meal plan that is mainly focused on eating soup to be able to lose about 10 to 17 lbs in one cycle. This is a rigid diet which would only allow you to eat specific types of food per day. Aside from becoming slimmer, this should also aid in detoxification.

Sacred Heart Diet Soup Recipe

The sacred heart diet consists of the following ingredients. The taste may be altered depending on your preference so long as the flavor would come from organic herbs and spices. Here are the main ingredients for creating this soup.

  • 2 large cans of tomato which could be stewed, whole plum or diced
  • 2 cans of beans
  • 2 lbs of carrots
  • ½ to ¼ head of shredded cabbage
  • Mushrooms that are chopped
  • Beef bouillons (amount depends on your taste preference)
  • Green onions (this may be optional and you can control the amount that will be added)
  • 1 bell pepper which could be green, red, yellow or orange, depending on availability and preference
  • Soup mix for chicken noodles which comes in dry package
  • Variety of green vegetables may be added

Typically, those who go through the sacred heart diet cook a single batch of the soup which could last for two days. Yes, you can consume as much soup as your heart desires. This should satisfy your hunger and would substitute your regular meals.

The Seven Day Diet Plan

Along with the soup, you also have to add a few more extras. For the first day, you can divulge on different types of fruits, except bananas because these have high amount of sugar. For the second day, forget about fruits and focus only on eating vegetables. You can also have baked potato with minimal butter for dinner. For day three, you can eat both fruits and vegetables. Keep in mind that you have to drink six to eight glasses of water to cleanse the digestive tract.

The first few days should prepare your digestive system so that it would be able to handle the alterations on your diet. There should be some changes on your weight after the first three days although this may vary from one person to another.

For day four, three bananas should be eaten along with the soup. You can also drink as much skim milk as you want because this would prevent the increase of acid within your digestive system. Day five involves eating 10 to 20 ounces of beef or chicken breast (without the skin) and tomatoes. Of course, you also need to eat the soup. Day six also entails enjoying meat and soup. To end the sacred heart diet, day seven is all about eating the soup and adding vegetables to your menu.

By the end of the 7-day sacred heart diet, you should notice a significant drop on your weight. If you intend to lose a few more extra pounds, it is recommended to go for at least one to two weeks of rest before starting another 7-day cycle.
