Fettuccine Pasta with tomato meat sauce for lunch sounds like a good idea. Instead of the usual spaghetti pasta, letโ€™s try something different โ€“ how about Fettuccine?

Fettuccine Pasta with Meat Sauce

Fettuccine is not only used for Pasta Alfredo, you can do anything that you desire with it. For this recipe, I partnered it with a gorgeous tomato meat sauce composed of marinara sauce, ground beef and pork, plus some herbs and seasoning. You will definitely like it.

Weโ€™ll start by cooking the pasta. I usually refer to the instructions in the packaging when doing this because every pasta brand can be different from the other. However, I have my own generic way of cooking any type of pasta. I start by boiling about a gallon of water for every pound of pasta and add about 2 to 3 tablespoons of salt to it. The pasta will absorb the salt along with the water โ€“ this adds some flavor to the pasta. As for the cooking time, I recommend checking the pasta once in a while until it is โ€œal denteโ€. Overcooked pasta is soggy, but you can still fix it by shocking the pasta in cold water. I do it by running cold water continuously to the pasta for 2 minutes.

Iโ€™ve mentioned that we will be using marinara sauce for this recipe. You can either buy bottled marinara sauce or make one by following our marinara sauce recipe. The link is provided below.
