Bow Tie Pasta with Vodka Sauce Recipe

Have you ever tried eating dishes cooked with alcoholic beverages such as red or white wine and beer? This might sound scary to those who do not drink these beverages but don’t be alarmed because the alcohol content of these drinks easily evaporates once the temperature increases; this leaves you the flavor minus the alcohol.

Bowtie (Farfalle) pasta with Vodka Sauce is one of the dishes mentioned above. Although vodka is not a commonly used cooking ingredient compared to wine and beer, it does some magic when combined with tomato or tomato based sauces. Apparently, there are certain flavors in a tomato that are inaccessible or not usually tasted. When combined with vodka, the tomato releases these great flavors thus making the dish more enjoyable.

Trying new dishes can be very exciting and rewarding. Let’s try to get out of our comfort zone once in a while and be more adventurous. I’m telling you, this dish is really good.
