A classic diet that survived up to this day is the lemonade diet.

Developed during the early 40’s, this diet is gaining attention because of the amazing weight loss results from the famous stars who tried it; among them are Beyonce Knowles, Ashton Kutcher, and Angelina Jolie.

Lemonade-Diet

This diet involves drinking a lemonade concoction for ten days or more without eating any solid food. If done the correct way, it is said that this diet can help you lose weight by at least 1 pound per day. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?

Aside from weight loss, the lemonade diet gets rid of toxins in the body and promotes healthy glowing skin. There are also claims that this detox diet can cure some minor health issues, but that remains to be proven and documented.

Before I give more information, let me emphasize that this type of diet has its pros and cons. It is best for you to get more information about this topic so that you can be guided accordingly. Furthermore, lose weight fast diets can have negative effects on the body.

The recipe for lemonade diet is simple. In order to make a glass full of diet lemonade, you will need the juice of half a slice of lemon, a tenth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, two tbsp grade b maple syrup, and about 2 cups of water. Mix these ingredients together, and there you have it. That does not sound so yummy at all, but its all up to you.

Knowing the recipe is just the beginning. You will need to know more information on how this diet works. Remember that you can starve yourself from this diet because it does not let you take any solid food during the duration. All you will have is 7 to 8 glasses per day of this concoction. Aside from the actual lemonade, you will also need to take a salty drink every morning. This is known as the salt water flush, which is composed of water and salt. This drink is for colon cleansing.

While this diet delivers its promise of weight loss from 10 to 20 lbs during the whole duration, it is very important for you to learn the effects of rapid weight loss. Lemonade diet alone cannot provide our body with the daily vitamins and nutrients that we need. For example, the absence of protein sources while dieting can cause the body to burn muscles instead of fats.

When a person tries starvation diets such as this, weight loss can be achieved incorrectly. Water and muscles tend to go off first before fat. You will lose weight, but not by burning fats.

Have you tried doing the Lemonade Diet before? Did you lose weight during the process?
