Pork bola bola soup with misua and patola is a simple yet delicious Filipino soup that you can prepare for your family on any given day. This is also known as almondigas.
The soup is composed of pork meatballs. This is made by combining ground pork with minced onion. seasonings, and it is held together by binding agents. In this recipe, I used a piece of egg and all-purpose flour as binders. The green circular slices of vegetable is called Patola in Filipino. It is internationally known as Loofah. This soup dish also makes use of thin flour noodles known as Misua. The noodles are sometimes referred to as Chinese Vermicelli.
My family loves this dish because it is yummy. The kids enjoy eating the meatballs, while I like to sip the soup while it is still warm. For some reason, the warm broth makes me feel relaxed and comfy. I also like how tasty this dish is.
We eat this as a main dish with warm white rice. However, it can also be enjoyed as it is, even without any side dishes. There are times when I have this with an extra saucer of patis and crushed fresh chili pepper.
For those of you who are trying to learn how to cook, this recipe is something that you should consider. It is simple, easy-to-make, and the result is something that you will be proud of. Happy Cooking!
