sinabawang isda at gulay

This dish is intended for people who loves fish and veggies. Itย is perfect for health conscious individuals as long as you do not eat rice with eat or at least control your carbohydrate intake.

I know that I just mentioned that this is healthy as long as you eat it as it is. Sometimes, I tend to deviate by adding bagoong isda withย calamansi or at least dipping the fish into it. As a result, I eat a cup of rice or more than I should — which is not so good. However, I am always enjoying this dish no matter how simple it may seem.

Try this simple Sinabawang Isda at Gulay Recipe. Send us your feedback.

Hi. What alternative can I use for the fish and talbos? I am in Dubai and I have never seen talbos in the supermarkets here and not sure about the fish too.

Your website is very informative and helpful. Hope you can make an offline app for your recipes too.????

    Thanks a lot!

Kangkong and spinach are two good substitutes. You may also use malunggay leaves.

Ren -- I am sorry, but I don’t think that I mentioned either ingredient in the recipe section. Can you please clarify the question because I was confused when you asked if “sitaw” (string beans) can be used as an alternative ingredient for green beans. However, you said that you cannot find sitaw around your location.

I am glad to help and will wait for your reply.

    Hi Vanjo!

Your recipe reminds me of my Mom’s cooking, like utan Bisaya but with isda as subak (not sure what the Tagalog word is). I can’t find the kamote tops here so what I can I substitute it with?

    Salamat!

Michelle -- I am happy to know that you remember your mom’s cooking in our recipes. I use spinach when kamote tops are not available.
