I am a huge fan of chicken wings. Buffalo wings and BBQ chicken wings are some of my favorites. At this point, I can say that chicken wings inasal had made it to my list. This is something that I really enjoyed having with Java Rice.
All inasal dishes go well with pickled papaya. This is known as atcharang papaya in the Philippines.

Hi vanjo, I was wondering if I can use chicken thighs instead of chicken wings? I wanted to try make this recipe tomorrow for dinner. I never had chicken inasal.
Vanjo Merano says
Yes, you can use chicken thighs or even leg quarters for this.

Tried it and it was good. My family loved it. Im just wondering why there’s no lemongrass compared to your previous recipe? Does turmeric serve as its substitute?
Vanjo Merano says
Yes, this recipe is somewhat for those who can’t find any lemongrass. I thought that turmeric is more common in supermarkets so I made this version.
