I made Coca Cola Beef Tapa for breakfast. This went well with garlic fried rice and fried egg as a meal known as tapsilog. The preparation for beef tapa was simple and easy. I added Coke to boil the beef with for additional flavor and sweetness. It was amazing!
I recommend to marinate the beef for at least 3 hours for best results. The marinade ingredients for beef tapa are included in the recipe below. You might also want to watch the cooking video for guidance.
This recipe is so straightforward and simple to the point that even cooking newbies can follow. I don’t think that you will have questions about the cooking process, but you can always drop me a comment if you do.
Note that you can freeze the marinated tapa for later use. I usually do it because it is convenient. It should be safe to keep your frozen tapa in the freezer for a month.
Happy cooking! Please send me your feedback.

Beautiful. I added a shot of Fireball to the marinade, and cooked it in Cherry Coke, which boiled down to a wonderful sweet sticky coating. Such a simple recipe but one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever cooked. 10/10 Thank you!

Hi Vanjo, would i still be able to achieve the same taste if i boil the beef first with water and its marinade before adding the coke? Coz sometimes beef takes a long time to soften…
And one more thing, what’s the substitute for cooking wine or sherry? Im a Pinay but stayimg abroad. Unfortunately cooking wine is not available locally..
Pls advise. Thank you po.

Vanjo Merano says
Sure, you can freeze this for 3 weeks, or store it in the fridge for 3 days.

Hey!
I tried out your Coca cola beef tapa earlier and patok na patok siya sa lahat! Everyone was asking for the recipe so I went ahead and forwarded the recipe to them (citing you, of course). Natawa lang ako kasi biglang upgrade yung post-production ng videos mo from the video of lumpiang togue to the video of coca cola beef tapa. Anyhow, please keep doing what you’re doing and I hope you all the blessings for you and your kids!
Happy cooking!

Thanks for the feedback. I think that you were comparing a video from 2010 vs. 2018. There are hundreds of videos in between these. Have a great day.
