Linguine with Mussels

I also like mussels; in fact, baked tahong and tinolang tahong are my favorite mussels recipe. This recipe calls for white wine. It puts more aroma and boosts the overall taste of the dish. I used chardonnay, but you can avail of any type of white wine that you desire.

If you want a low fat and low cholesterol version of this recipe, try to use olive oil instead of butter.

Try this superb pasta recipe and let me know what you think.

I’m sorry, but adding lemon soda such as what you mentioned is not recommended.

You can use white grape juice instead.

Yes. White grape juice can be used as alternative to white wine.

        Hi,

Maybe just MAYBE… wine extract or wine essence
will be your substitute.. for your wine…
the author of this dish is the best to decide…

Kasi.. it is the taste of WINE that you
like to be in this kind of dish ๐Ÿ™‚

So other cultures or our kababayans
        na spirits/liquour of any kind
is NOT allowed… (is that right?)
try to look for wine extract or wine essence (white)

Try to find it sa supermarket or special stores.

Remember kasama sa dish ang garlic bread.
        YUMMY ๐Ÿ˜›

        GOOD LUCK!!!!

    Hi,
wow this sure looks specially yummy ๐Ÿ˜›

    Question po sa Mussles:
-- Pre-cooked ba ang mussles? or
-- Mussles to be cooked pagkatapos mag-boil ang wine?
    Thank you!!!

Hi Maryrose, you can use either pre cooked or uncooked mussels. The same procedure applies; wait for the wine to boil before adding them.

        Hello ๐Ÿ™‚

        Thanks for the suggestion.

I have guests who do not eat meat ๐Ÿ˜‰
        Perfect!
I made this recipe last night.
        The taste was DIVINE ๐Ÿ˜›

Kabayan..I recommend you try this too

        Thank you!
