A delightfully cheesy macaroni rarely ever disappoints. After all, who could say no to this rich, soft and perfectly seasoned pasta? What a lot of people also like about this dish is that it exhibits a sense of coziness— a taste that reminds us of home because of how much we get to eat this as kids. But some cooks who prefer not to work with the oven might stray away from the recipe. That’s why I made a fitting alternative where all you will need is your pot and stove! Try this No Bake Macaroni with me!
What does no bake macaroni taste like?
When it comes to macaroni, our minds often almost immediately go to the baking method. While this definitely works great too, I suggest you try out a different way of cooking this ingredient. Utilizing your cooking pot for this may create a softer, more delicate type of macaroni that really works nicely with our delicious corned beef and cheddar cheese. But if you like your pasta on the firmer side, you may prefer it baked.
But delving further into the flavor of this dish, we get a nice and satisfying kind of savor from our home style corned beef in pasta sauce. Of course, we can also count on onion and garlic to further enhance the taste of the dish.
Now that you’ve got a clue of the end result, let’s dive right into making this from home!
How to Make No Bake Macaroni
1. Preparing the macaroni
- Cooking the elbow macaroni – You will need 1 lb. of this ingredient. Use the package instructions to find out how long you need to cook this with your pot and water. Once your macaroni is all cooked, you can just drain your water.
2. Making the sauce
- Sautéing your onion and garlic – Pour 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a clean wide cooking pot. Then you should just let this heat up. Proceed to add 1 onion you’ve chopped, as well as 5 cloves of garlic you’ve minced. Now you can just sauté your ingredients together, and keep this going until the onion softens just enough.
- Incorporating the corned beef – It’s time to add 520 grams of CDO Home Style Corned Beef! Then just cook this all up as you stir every once in a while. This would take around 3 to 5 minutes. Afterwards, you can just sprinkle in as salt and ground black pepper as you’d like.
3. Putting the macaroni and sauce together
- Adding our cooked macaroni – Place this in the pot as well, and then toss everything together gently. We will continue cooking as we toss for 2 minutes more.
- Serving the dish – Then you can already put everything you’ve cooked on a serving plate. For our topping, we will use ½ cup of grated cheddar cheese and 2 teaspoons of chopped parsley.
Now you’re done! Just know that this is absolutely best to eat while hot from the pot. How about looking at some options for dishes that will complement our macaroni?
What to Serve with No Bake Macaroni
Crispy Fried Chicken (Spicy Version)
Our No Bake Macaroni is just salty enough, and has a lot of cheesiness and creaminess to it. As expected, a crunchy fried treat would taste great along with it! That is why I am suggesting you cook up the spicy version of my Crispy Fried Chicken recipe. It has that perfect coating for a most distinct crispiness, while boasting a lot of flavor inside. And that exciting heat? You can count on it contrast perfectly with the taste of our pasta!
Chicken Macaroni Soup
Can’t get enough of the delicious and ever versatile elbow macaroni? Well, how about trying it in a well-seasoned, comforting soup recipe? You can serve this Chicken Macaroni Soup beside our main dish so that you can really complete that feeling of warmth and coziness that No Bake Macaroni exudes. This can also be pretty filling due to the soup and the carb component, which is our macaroni.
Peach Pie
With just the right amount of sweetness, peach pie is a great dessert to have with all kinds of main dishes! I love this because it’s got that beautiful golden crust, as well as a most juicy, flavorful interior from our sliced peaches. The already delicious, sugary fruit gets a cool upgrade in flavor from our somewhat sour lime juice. This is also conveniently pretty easy and quick to make as you will need to set aside less than an hour of your time! My recipe also serves a group of 6, and so this should be great to bring to your next party or gathering.
