Do you like to eat vegetables and bacon? This Sauteed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon Recipe might be the right one for you. This dish marries the good taste of bacon with the nice crunch and healthy nutrients of the brussels sprouts. In addition, this is quick and easy to prepare. In fact, it only takes less than 15 minutes to complete this dish.
I thought of making this because of the nice looking brussels sprouts from the grocery store. They looked real fresh so I thought of making something out of them. We always stock a few pounds of bacon in the freezer. I was thinking that the salty taste of bacon will mingle well with the vegetables โ it actually did. The result was a superb dish with a balanced flavor and nice crisp texture. If you are looking for a good way to cook bacon then this is an option.
This dish goes well as an appetizer or even a side for chicken, fish, and other dishes. You can also do this even if you are a vegetarian, just omit the bacon and its good to go. For those who have not tried brussels sprouts yet, you don’t know what you’re missing.
