Today, we will make our Teriyaki Pork Chop using our ownย Teriyaki Pork Chop Recipe starting by preparing our own teriyaki sauce from scratch. The pork chop will be marinated in that sauce and then grilled to perfection.
The good thing about the teriyaki sauce recipe (marinade) is the fact that you can use it with other meats and seafood. Want some tuna teriyaki or chicken teriyaki? All you need to do is substitute the pork chop in this Teriyaki Pork Chop Recipe with your choice of meat. The sesame seeds are for garnishing, you can complete your dish even without it โ though it really makes the dish look appetizing.

Teriyaki Pork Chop Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. pork chops
- 3/4 cup light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- a dash of salt and ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, ginger powder, garlic powder, sesame oil, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir.
- Put-in pork chop and marinate overnight (or at least 3 hours)
- Heat-up the grill, and then grill both sides of the marinated pork chops. Make sure to flip the sides every 2 to 3 minutes to avoid it from getting burnt. Don't forget to baste with the remaining marinade.
- Arrange in a plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Serve. Share and enjoy!
