The art of stir frying is one most Asian cooks are quite familiar with. It is a cooking method involving high heat, a wok, some oil, and various ingredients for cooking. This Asian Chicken Stir Fry recipe of mine is a pretty classic way of satisfying your cravings for these kinds of dishes. We make use of the usual seasonings for stir frying, such as sesame oil and soy sauce.
But you can also expect an exciting twist, or rather a bit of tanginess from just a bit of lemon juice. Another great thing we canโt overlook about this recipe is that it is even healthier than your usual chicken stir fry. Since we will be cooking with skinless chicken breast, you will have far less cholesterol in your dish. And of course, the high protein content will go a long way in giving you energy for whatever you may be up to today!
Come and try cooking up your own Asian Chicken Stir Fry!
How to Make Asian Chicken Stir Fry
Marinating the chicken
First things first, put your 1 ยฝ lbs. of boneless and skinless chicken breasts that youโve sliced into strips into a bowl. Pour 2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce, as well as 2 teaspoons of lemon juice in the bowl. Mix everything together, and then just let it sit for 1 hour.
Stir frying the chicken
Once you are done marinating the chicken, you can put 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wok. When this gets hot, go ahead, and add 1 teaspoon of minced ginger, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, and 1 medium onion youโve chopped. Sautรฉ these together. Then you can place your marinated chicken inside as well. We will stir fry the chicken for 3 to 5 minutes.
Incorporating some more seasonings
You can now sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Throw 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, and ยผ teaspoon of sesame oil into the mix as well. And then just keep stir frying everything.
Putting bell peppers in the dish
Letโs add 1 medium green bell pepper, and 1 medium red bell pepper, both of which weโve sliced into strips. Continue cooking for just 4 to 5 minutes more, and then you can turn off your heat. Afterwards, just place the mixture to a serving plate you like.
Great job at recreating this Asian Chicken Stir Fry! As much as this is already pretty tasty solo, I absolutely love it with certain side dishes, including a specific kind of fried rice. Keep reading if you want to find out what this is.
What To Eat with Asian Chicken Stir Fry
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Some people prefer their stir fry dishes with just plain white rice. But since youโve already got your wok ready, I really would suggest cooking up some Yang Chow Fried Rice too while youโre at it! This is a great side dish for your chicken stir fry because it is never lacking in flavor, and the bits of pork with the shrimp just complement our chicken and vegetables so well. This is also a dish you will often find in Chinese restaurants. Its popularity springs from its naturally satisfying and salty flavor that most people really enjoy. Like our Asian Chicken Stir Fry, this recipe is another great dish for celebrations.
Golden Chicken Rice Balls With Crab And Corn Soup
You can spruce up your meal even further by adding some soup into the mix. My personal preference when it comes to stir-fried recipes is the classic crab and corn soup. But I added something to boost the dishโs overall texture for this recipe. These Golden Chicken Rice Balls With Crab and Corn Soup is quite the magical pairing. Coated with egg, flour and bread crumbs, the rice bills are perfectly crispy. And this tastes perfect with the warmth of our soup. Be warned though that the chicken rice balls can be a bit challenging to make, as they can end up sticking to your palm. But most parts of this recipe is a breeze, and that includes getting our soup nice and thick.
Lumpiang Gulay
If you enjoy your veggies as much as I do, you would probably love this Lumpiang Gulay recipe. It is crunchy, salty, and filled with a gorgeous variety of vegetables from cubed tomatoes to shredded cabbage. You can also get a great deal of protein from fried tofu in these vegetable egg rolls. I recommended this with our Asian Chicken Stir Fry because the Lumpiang Gulay has a somewhat light saltiness that goes great with the flavor of our main recipe.

Hi. Looks delish. Does the chicken have to be parboiled or cut up & stir fried raw? Wondering if it will be cooked after such a short time of stir-frying.

I tried cooking this recipe at home, and my husband and I both liked it!:) It’s a very simple dish containing the simplest ingredients that you can buy in the market. Just don’t forget to marinate the chicken at least overnight to make it more tasty. Cut the chicken as well into thin slices to make it more appetizing:)The bellpepper really make it sweet, colorful, and great tasting. This recipe is indeed perfect for those who are just starting to learn how to cook;)
