There is nothing more exciting than eating together as a family – sharing a meal that everyone loves – enjoying every little conversation.

Family means everything for Filipinos. It is the center of everyone’s life. The best way to value the relationship is to have constant communication, do activities together, and share the blessings by enjoying our favorite meals – all Filipino Recipes.

There is a saying that goes like this “The family that prays together, stays together”. No matter what your belief is, doing things as one makes the bond stronger. I think that you will also agree if I say that “the family that eats together, stays intact forever”. Sharing a meal with the family promotes conversation that keeps all aware of everyone’s whereabouts.

I’m half-Filipina and I remember family gatherings with delicious foods and my mother’s home cooking. I never learnt how to do it myself though and I didn’t even realize I missed the food. I live away from home now and learning to cook the recipes off your website makes me feel closer to my family. Thank you!

I’ve been married to a Filipino for two years now. His mom usually cooks, but since we’ve had a child and I decided to stay home, I thought I’d learn how to cook for my love. Mr. Merano, I can’t tell you how excited I was to have found your website. I’ve tried almost every recipe and received my husbands and mother in-laws approval to continue cooking. I look forward to trying more of your recipes. Thank you so much!

It looks like Chicken Adobo. He should have a recipe for it in here somewhere. The only catch is, there are different ways of how people makes this. My family has always made it a certain way, but my wife makes something completely different, that I call Diry Adobo. She uses Chicken liver to add a thicker sauce to her version of adobo.

I think next to Italians,Americans, Mexicans, I think Filipino Families spend time together a lot especially when it comes to meal time or when there is a party. I remember going to the Province of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija where my wife is from and wheneevr we used to go to her place like for Undas, or if someone passes away or if we just go there. There’s always like a big feast, I remember going one time and you can see that the whole entire place was filled with tables filled with families just eating and the others were just getting there lunch it was a buffet lunch well the food was cooked at home but I’ve never seen so many people in all my life. Their home is right in back of some rice fields if they wanted to they could add more tables in the ricefields. But mealtime especially during big celebrations I think is a business.
